According to the Department of Health & Human Services, 1 in 5 children and adolescents (20 percent) may have a diagnosable disorder.

Most mental health disorders are not seasonal and will not go away if left untreated. Early detection, assessment, and links with treatment and supports can prevent mental health problems from getting worse.

Children are referred to LifeNet through a variety of resources, including schools, probation, courts, churches, hospitals, shelters, and clients who are already in our program. Parents can come to our office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to complete paperwork to enroll their child or adolescent in our program. Once the paperwork is complete, an intake appointment is scheduled within a few days.

Do you have a child who disrupts daycare, your home and the classroom? As parents do you need help with family conflict truancy, runaway behavior, delinquent behavior, or moods that can flip back and forth from depression to mania within the same day? You might not recognize the following diagnoses, but you may be familiar with the symptoms and behaviors:
  • Major Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
